Put on your Kentucky Derby hat and get ready to bet on a winner at The Night at the Races, a fundraiser benefiting the Unconditional Child Care program of Child Care Information Services. The event will be held March 19 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Coca Cola Park. The night will feature opportunities to bet on horse races using "funny money" and a chance for ladies to compete for honors in a "Derby Hat Contest," in the tradition of the grand hats worn at the Kentucky Derby. Refreshments will be served and a silent auction also is planned. The Via All-Star Basketball Clinic is free and run by Traci Cyr, a member of the Lehigh Valley High School Basketball Hall of Fame. The clinic focuses on the fundamentals of basketball in a fun and inclusive setting. The clinic is free for all who wish to attend. The clinic is a new addition to the Via All-Star Classic. Selected Via All-Stars from the current senior high school graduating class, along with area coaches and members of the Lehigh Valley High School Basketball Hall of Fame will make up the clinic staff. The Puttle Tour Championship

The Puttle Tour Championship concludes the 2009-2010 Puttle tour sponsored by the Allentown Brew Works, McCooles' Red Lion Inn, Kutztown Tavern and Sand Castle Winery. Participants will compete in either the Golfer or Non-Golfer categories for a chance to win "The Tankard", a 30 o.z. engraved, pewter beer tankard for posting the lowest score. Points are from 1-5 points depending on which pin(s) you do or don't knock over. All entry fees will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of the Lehigh Valley.
