Six & Six More

When Lehigh Valley Style became a monthly publication in January of 2008, we knew it was the beginning of many great things. Adding six issues to our annual schedule has already allowed us to grow and to explore new ways to bring you, our reader, the types of editorial you say you enjoy the most.

That is definitely true of this Our Favorite Things issue. Our monthly format has allowed us to expand this popular feature, now in its third year. In fact, our entire editorial well is jammed with great little gathering spots, yummy dining suggestions, enjoyable jaunts, and local gems, each offering intrinsic value and sense of vitality in its own way to our growing region.

It’s an exciting time in the Valley. The truth is, we have already started creating our list of faves for 2009. As we compile this list we hope you will help us add to it by letting us know your favorites, too. Write to me at editor@lehighvalleystyle.com with your comments and suggestions.
In addition to the slices of life we are bringing you in this issue, we have included profiles of people doing amazing things. It has been 40 years since the doors of the Parkettes National Gymnastics Training Center first opened in the Valley. Learn how this prestigious athletic tradition has grown and how its founders have helped foster Olympic hopes one gymnast at a time.
We’ll also pause to acknowledge the significance of the Fourth of July holiday with one thought-provoking profile in courage, as Staff Sergeant HollyAnn Nicom of Pottstown shares her Iraq War journal with us.

More people, more places, more things to learn and love about the Valley. Get set for your next six issues of Lehigh Valley Style!

Only the Best
