Pour Homme
Never had an idea made more sense to us than when we decided to develop an issue of Style almost entirely devoted to men. Over the years, we have heard many stories about men who covet their wife’s issue as soon as she is finished with it. We also have heard from frustrated wives who swear their husbands have gotten to the mailbox first and then they can’t find their issue at all.
With all that male interest already being generated, we wanted to see what would happen if we spoke to the men of the Valley directly by providing content that addresses their unique lifestyles. And so the Men of Style issue was born.
In the course of our reporting in the region all these years, we have met many men who definitely fit the Men of Style description. They are accomplished, smart, interesting and successful in many ways. Whether they are situated at the head of the board table or the dinner table with family, they are men we have come to admire. We’ll meet several of these men in this issue.
While many men want them, few have them—the dream job. We talked to three Valley guys who do and found out what’s all in a day’s work when they clock in. From high rollers, to swimwear models, to the aroma of a fine-label cigar, these guys live the dream every day.
We also approached three men who felt they were ready for a style update. Each had some special concerns that they wanted to address about their current look so we took them to the experts at Evolve Salon and to some fine retailers in The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley for the ultimate upgrade.
Highlighted throughout our issue are also some useful male-oriented resources including great reads, gifts and lifestyle tips.
If you’re ready for romance with that man of yours, we squeezed in some options for a fun and delicious Valentine’s Day. Get your guy cookin’ with our In the Kitchen With… profile of Sharon Sanders, a passionate fan and chef of Italian delicacies that speak the language of love. She even shares some excellent wine pairings to take the guesswork out of your romantic evening.
So ladies, we do ask that you be willing to share this issue with a man of style in your life, even if you do get to the mailbox first!
Only the Best,
Lisa
