Over the last 10 years we have been fortunate to gain entry into some of the most exclusive and exquisite homes in the Lehigh Valley. As a result, we have been able to provide readers with inspiration, ideas, and incentive through a photographer’s lens. Since we’re doing some special things this
year, we thought it would be fun to turn the lens on the photographer, or in this case, the photographers.
Anne Gridley and Gary Graves of Raubsville have been visually documenting homes for Lehigh Valley Style since 2004. In this issue, we get a glimpse into the abode of these two extremely talented artists. The husband and wife team lovingly restored their farmhouse themselves using what they so uniquely understand about color and concept to frame a place in which they can not only dwell, but design and dream.
As a bonus to this story, we are running an encore of some of the residences photographed by Gridley and Graves for Style as part of our 10th Anniversary Signature Editorial Series along with the couple’s reflections on the projects and the properties themselves.
Creating a cozy home environment requires an understanding of the role lighting plays in your décor. It’s certainly more than flicking a switch and turning on a bulb these days. To help light the way, we are providing some bright ideas in our In Style column.
And there’s no doubt if you provide a home for a pet, you understand the special relationship that develops between animal and owner. It melted our hearts when we discovered some really special and smart pets living right here in the Valley whose unique skills help their owners and others lead better lives with a watchful eye or even just the wag of a tail.
