Craigslist is an interesting Web site. I visit it at least once a day and I have to say I get quite a kick out of it sometimes. Today, for instance, I noticed a listing for “I’ve got two (2) tickets to paradise” as I searched for Phillies tickets. Mister Jangles Johnson, if you’re reading this, my bags are packed. Ok, just kidding!
Every now and again you’ll come across a jokester (check out the Best of Craigslist for a good laugh) but this site is actually really convenient. Although there are Valley residents using this easily accessible outlet for selling, buying, reconnecting, networking, etc., I don’t think it has quite caught on as it has in some of the larger cities. It’s time to change that, folks!
Want to get rid of that couch? Post it on Craigslist. Need a riding mower? Find it on Craigslist. Saw a cute guy at BrewWorks and exchanged glances but didn’t get his name? You can even put that on Craigslist, too. It’s also a great job-hunting tool as many employers post listings daily. Find everything from engines to jewelry to carpentry work to cleaning services.
This site is so simplistic–no bells and whistles about it–but that’s fine, in my opinion, because it’s effective. You can check out the Lehigh Valley’s by visiting allentown.craigslist.org.
