Need one more reason to eat chocolate guilt-free? How about three? Flavonoids, flavanols and oleic acid. You should be thankful for these words (whether or not you know their meaning), because they are the reason you can innocently eat about one ounce of chocolate a day and feel good about it!

Let’s face it. Many of us aren’t eating the recommended amount of vegetables each day and some of us, though difficult to admit, don’t really like eating our veggies. Though all vegetables having amazing and undeniable health benefits here is a list of the top five veggies you need to be eating.

Just venture into any health food store and you will be confronted with such a selection of vitamins and minerals, you’re bound to get confused and overwhelmed. What should you be taking? This is the one of the most popular questions asked of Leslie Roehrig, RD, LDN, a registered dietitian and nutritionist for Moravian Village in Bethlehem. The most important thing to keep in mind is that vitamins are very much an individualized matter.

In an effort to offer thoughts and insight into my real-life experiences and trials and tribulations, I decided to reveal a rather sensitive subject. I’m 24 years old and my skin and I have maintained a love-hate relationship for the last year or so. It has gone through what I like to call a metamorphosis of sorts, and quite frankly I wish it would just settle down already.

Three weeks ago I hesitantly stepped into a room for my very first yoga class. For years, I’ve always wanted to try it but am one of those people who prefer not to do something like that alone. It was probably in September when I first met my friend Amanda who asked if I was interested in attending a class with her. Months passed and I never actually took advantage of the opportunity. Boy, am I ever glad that I finally did.
