I suppose I should welcome in the new month this week. Hello, July! Growing up, Fourth of July weekend was always typically the same. There’d be some sort of picnic or cookout involving family and friends and good food. Then, as dusk would settle in, we’d load up the car with folding chairs and blankets plus a cooler with snacks and sodas and drive to a nearby fireworks show. Although I’ve noticed the number of family members at these picnics has dwindled over time, it’s still an enjoyable day as always.

Last Wednesday night I attended Martinis and Manicures at the Allentown Brew Works with my cousins Katie and Alex and a few of my aunts and their friends. So much fun! And might I add, it was packed! Completely sold out.
Only by random chance did I end up at the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem Monday night. It was about 8:30 p.m. when my boyfriend, Mike, arrived at the house and asked if I wanted to go. I had no intentions of making any kind of public appearance that night so, in an effort to look presentable much to Mike’s dismay, I quickly changed my rather bummy, lounge outfit to something a bit more appropriate.
