Another option for daily pooch lodging is the The Puppy Palace, a doggy daycare that is run much like a childcare facility. Professionally staffed by two veterinary technicians and six pet CPR-certified staff members, the daycare opened five years ago and has already been voted the facility of choice by newspaper readers all over the region.
Owner Shannon Patrick even refers to her puppy visitors as “kids,” and says they are “definitely spoiled rotten.” While staying at the Palace, your pet will have two stories of playrooms to roam. He’ll have the opportunity to play ball, or even watch TV if he prefers—Animal Planet is a favorite channel here!
The thoughtfully designed space at the facility allows pets to be separated by size and activity level, then they are free to have fun together and be socially active. There’s even a large oak tree outside, where the “kids” are free to roam and play. The shade from the oak tree allows the dogs to spend more time outside during the summer months.
Open Monday though Friday from 7 a.m.-7 p.m., the Palace also offers true daycare staples like class photos, newsletters, and birthday postings on the monthly bulletin board. And if you’re in need of a smile, just visit thepuppypalaceonline.com for photos of some of their favorite furry guests—a great way to turn a frown upside down!
